Hello Friends! Took some time but I am back with a simple recipe. Garlic Bread, which is pretty favorite with people of all ages nowadays, is very simple to make and equally tasty. So, let’s get on!
List if Ingredients:
Maida/ Plain Flour: 250 gms
Yeast: 15 gms
Grain Sugar: 15 gms
Salt: 5 gms
Milk Powder: 15 gms
Butter: 10 gms
Sesame Seeds: 10 gms
Garlic: 3-5 Flakes
Water: 130-135 gms
Baking Time: 20 miutes
Start kneading by adding small quantities of water.
It will be a sticky mess in the beginning. But go on kneading for about 8-10 minutes to get this stretchy and smooth dough.
Once the dough reaches this stage, add butter and knead again for 5 minutes. More the kneading, more the gluten and better the bread!
Now, add finely chopped garlic and knead some more.
The dough looks ready to be proofed. Keep this dough covered with a plastic container or a damp cloth for 25-30 minutes. (The proofing time may vary depending on the type and quality of yeast.)
After about 30 minutes, the dough has doubled up in size and is ready to be punched and shaped.
Shape it up, like in a rectangular piece. Spray some water on it and keep chopped garlic and sesame seeds ready for garnishing before baking.
Grease the baking tray with oil or butter. Place the dough on it. Add garlic and sesame seeds.
Keep this dough aside for another 10-15 minutes for a second proofing. Preheat the oven till then.
After, about 15 minutes, in goes the dough! Bake it at 220 Degrees for 20 minutes.
Here comes out the bread!
Quickly, get butter and move it all over the bread. The aroma of hot garlic and butter is simply amazing!
Cut out pieces after it cools on a rack for some time.
The Garlic Bread is ready. Enjoy it with tomato sauce or grated cheese. Or simply with butter!
